Sandy Hook is one of the most popular surf fishing areas in the northern part of the state. It is bordered to the east by the Atlantic Ocean and to the west by Sandy Hook Bay. This sand peninsula is a federal park and usually has daily access fees from Memorial to Labor day.

He focuses most of his attention to the Appalachian Trail, the parks in Monmouth County, New Jersey and the great west in particular Grand Teton National Park.
